What about Lego Creator Expert Sets for a Building Challenge?

By | December 30, 2019

Have you considered the Lego Creator Expert sets when you are looking for a challenging building project?

Let’s take a look at what you can expect from the sets in this series.

Firstly, these sets are designed with the older and more experienced builders in mind. They are suitable for children from the ages of 15 to 16 years old and are also great sets for the adult Lego builders. So if you are tired of the smaller building sets, you can safely consider a few of these options for a challenge.

The sets have a large number of pieces and lots of small pieces. You won’t want to tackle one of these projects with small children around, so please keep this in mind when you consider getting one for yourself.

Most of the sets in the Creator Expert series have between 1000 and 3000 pieces, with a few even having more than 4000 pieces. You will need some patience to work through these builds.

Fortunately some of the sets come packed with the pieces separated into numbered packets. This way you know which pieces belomg to which part of the project. If they didn’t do it that way it would be a nightmare to find the correct pieces for the stage that you are working on.

I suggest you have a large surface to work on so that you can spread out the pieces and also have space for the section of the model that you are working on. I persoanlly like to use a tray (or two) with an edge to keep the pieces organised and make sure I don’t accidentally bump any onto the floor.

When you have completed your model you will also need a decent sized space to put it on display. Most of these models are large so keep an eye out for the size of the finished project when you are choosing one to build.

Let’s take a

look at a few of the options available.
